In a hardly surprising move, 2K Games announced today that it is giving Gearbox’s critically-acclaimed open-world RPG Borderlands the GOTY treatment. A “Game of the Year” edition of Borderlands is due out on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC come October 12.

Priced at $59.99 on consoles and $49.99 on PC, the GOTY edition comprises all previously released Borderlands DLC add-on packs in the form of redeemable download tokens, in addition to the recently announced Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution. Also included is a “complete and comprehensive” map of territories located within the game.
