Publisher Ubisoft has inked a deal to create a interactive graphic-novel based on the hit CBS TV show CSI: NY. Slated to launch later this holiday season solely on PC, the game allows players to assume the role of actual characters from the show, with five original tension-filled cases to solve.

“We are thrilled to offer fans a new type of crime-solving experience with CSI: NY,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Ubisoft. “With an all-new graphic novel art style, improved player controls and added interactive gameplay, CSI: NY will provide a more accessible approach for fans looking to immerse themselves in the show’s universe.”

As you can probably tell from the released screenshots, gameplay is of the traditional point-and-click variant, with mini-games ranging from code cracking to manipulating an X-Ray scanner.
