Rockstar themselves have been shy on the systems requirements of Grand Theft Auto IV PC, which was shown off at Leipzig last month running at the resolution of 2560×1600. However, Microsoft’s official Games for Windows site has posted the “recommend” requirements for the title, revealing the unsurprising revelation that you’ll need a beefy PC to run GTA IV in all its glory. Below, the specs:

OS: Windows XP SP2
Processor: Dual core processor (Intel Pentium D or better)
RAM: 2GB
Hard Drive: 18GB free hard disk space
Video Card: 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card or Direct3D 9 card compatible with Shader
Drive: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive

Seeing as these specs aren’t coming from Rockstar directly, we’re going to label this under “rumor” for now. Still, they don’t seem too unrealistic. The required hard drive space is massive, but considering enhanced textures are promised for the PC release, it certainly makes sense.
