Former Square Enix video game composer Nobuo Uematsu’s rock band “The Black Mages” is set to debut their third album on March 19 in Japan. The album, titled “Darkness and Starlight,” will once again focus on Final Fantasy arrangements.

Thus far, only a single track has been confirmed — “Opening – Bombing Mission” from the fan-favorite Final Fantasy VII. A sampler is available at the official site.

Personally, I thought their first two albums were excellent, so my expectations are set pretty high for the third. Hope this one features more Final Fantasy VI arrangements.
