Steam is giving gamers another reason to pull those credit cards and by extension avoid the blistering hot sun during these summer months with a “Perils of Summer” sale. Scheduled to run through July 4, the sale is, in a word, massive.

In addition to special 1-day sales that promise discounts “up to 90% off regular prices,” several publisher-specific collections can be had for a fraction of the usual cost.

Highlights include:

Valve Complete Pack — 33 percent off

Call of Duty Collection — 75 percent off

Atari Pack — 66 percent off

Codemasters Pack — 66 percent off

Additionally, Frozenbyte’s enchanting fantasy-action platformer Trine has received a steep price cut for today only, bringing it down to only $4 — a 80 percent reduction.
