Steam Holiday Sale Bonanza

As if you haven’t already spent enough during this year’s season of gift giving, Steam has officially launched its annual slate of holiday deals. With savings selectively hitting the 80 percent mark, a plethora of titles from nearly every publisher have been discounted, putting last month’s round of discounts on the service to shame. In fact, as there’s an overwhelming amount of deals to list, we suggest heading over to the Steam Holiday Sale page pronto for a quick view at what’s available. Or not, if you value what’s left in your wallet. Valve says the sale will run through January 3, with a select number of limited-time special promotions appearing throughout its duration.

Currently, these limited time only offers include the likes of Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, Grand Theft Auto IV, Mirror’s Edge, Defense Grid: The Awakening, and STALKER — all of which been marked down significantly below their sale price until December 24. There’s some real steals there — GTA IV is only $7.49 while STALKER is a paltry $1.99.  Perfect for last-minute gifts. Look for the next round of timed deals to appear sometime tomorrow.
