By way of an MCV report, Square Enix is among the list of interested parties in UK-based developer Eidos, creator of the Tomb Raider franchise. It’s somewhat surprising to see Square prepping to make a bid, but then again, such a move would of course fall in line with their focus on Western development.
Also according to the report, Warner Bros is in in takeover talks with Eidos. They already own 20 percent of the company, making it a rather viable purchase. Still, Square could turn the tables. We’ll see.
