SlySoft’s New AnyDVD HD To Crack Future HD-DVD, Blu-ray DRM

SlySoft has announced that its AnyDVD HD software, a utility for stripping the copy protection from HD DVDs and Blu-ray discs, will now be able to outsmart future protections with an advanced “AI Scanner” feature. SlySoft chief executive Giancarlo Bettini, explains:

The AI Scanner in AnyDVD is a new, pro-active copy protection circumvention method. It allows the user to make safety backups of his DVD movies even if the newest anti-piracy technology is used. It is our belief that the AI Scanner will even work on protections yet to be released, so we see this as a future-proof technology. This is indeed a hard nut to crack for the copy protection industry.

Looks like this new technology will be put to use soon, as the protection on Blu-ray discs can be easily changed with the arrival of new firmware updates to BD players.
