SEGA Boss: It’s time to reinvent Sonic

Speaking about the recently announced Mario & Sonic, Sega president Simon Jeffery revealed that it will be the last Sonic game for some time. Why you ask? Sega is totally revamping Sonic not only as a character but the franchise as well.

I am actually looking forward to the revamped Sonic. Ever since the Genesis days, Sonic has gone downhill.. while the 3D incarnations on the Dreamcast were good, they had major camera issues and lost the fast gameplay that the series was known for.

And the recent Sonic for the Xbox 360 and PS3 was a disaster. I'm sure that Mario & Sonic will be good though, since Miyamoto is in charge of the project.
