Atlus announced today that the follow-up to 2005’s Trauma Center: Under the Knife will hit North American retailers on July 1.

A direct sequel to the original DS title, the next chapter in Atlus’ critically-acclaimed surgical drama series once again stars protagonists Dr. Derek Stiles and Angie in their fight against a deadly virus known as GUILT. As revealed in Nintendo Power magazine earlier this month, Under the Knife 2 will feature a novice-friendly easy difficulty mode and all-new operations to boot.
