Tanaka: Final Fantasy VII DS Is “A Matter Of Timing”

Yearning for more Final Fantasy action on the Nintendo DS? When asked about the possibility of a DS remake of FF VII, Square-Enix senior VP Hiromichi Tanaka stated, "The main thing is the timing." If we have time it is possible to do a remake of an original game, Tanaka added.
Tanaka also revealed in the interview with CVG that Final Fantasy III was originally set to be a PS2 title, until Nintendo convinced them otherwise, and that they are "looking into" bringing over old-school Final Fantasy titles to the Wii Virtual Console.
