That’s right, pre-orders for Nintendo’s Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Diamond have topped half a million. Already the two games have more doubled the amount of pre-orders Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen sold back in 2004.

Looks like there is little doubt the two new Pokemon titles will be among the best-selling games of 2007. Just remember: launch day is on a Sunday so if you head out be prepared for the swarm of kids who will undoubtedly be invading retail stores across North America.
