In a recent interview with NoA Treehouse’s Nate Bihldorff some info was released regarding the localization of Mother 3, a popular RPG released for the GBA in Japan (otherwise known as Earthbound).

"Bihldorff: No, me personally, I’m not working on Mother 3. I don’t have all the writers under me, so there may be other people in discussions going on with it, but I wouldn’t look forward to it in the immediate future, no. Sorry, I know! There’s a big Mother fanbase, there is. At least everyone can go back and play Melee to get your Ness on. [Laughs]"

Looks like the rumors of Mother 3 coming to the DS were false. Hopefully the long-awaited fan translation will be out soon.. as it looks like it’s going to be awhile before this one hits US shores officially.
