Myst Heads To DS

It’s safe to say most of us have played Myst, or at least heard of it. Myst was a slow-paced puzzle game released for the PC back in 1993. Since then, the game has sprawled numerous sequels, compilations, and remakes.

Now Midway Games plans to bring the original Myst experience to the Nintendo DS, complete with an all-new age, the Rime Age. The game itself will feature remastered sound effects and video clips, as well as newly created graphic sets for the DS-exclusive Rime Age.

This rendition of Myst has also been re-written from the ground-up, specifically with the Nintendo DS in mind. That being said, we expect the developers to make full use of the DS’s touch screen for Myst’s point and click gameplay elements.

Myst DS is due out this November in Europe; no word on a US release date however.

OH, BOY! The 7th port of one of the most boring games of all time!

Tenshigami says:

Unless they relocate every single last page (and I do mean all of them, especially the correct ones), there'd be no point, and the Rime Age wouldn't need to be explored at all. If you know where to go and what to do, the game can be finished in like 5 minutes.

haha, that is true xD

Pariah says:

Boring because... you couldn't do it?

Cheezeball99 says:

Actually, I have to admit I haven't tried it because it looks boring as hell to me.

Darkchild says:

I've tried it on my old PowerPC MAC and I do agree...it IS boring xD

Pariah says:

Bah lies, did either of you finish it? Or play other Myst games? I mean c'mon, Exile (myst III) is like the greatest puzzle game ever! It looks great too... you get a terrific sense of achievement for finishing it.

In a way its very similar to notpron, but i'm completely stuck on that atm so it's lying dormant until i can be bothered trying again.
