Geometry Wars: Galaxies Blasting Wii and DS

Sierra has officially announced that Geometry Wars: Galaxies will be heading exclusively to both the Wii and Nintendo DS. As a follow-up to last year’s hit Xbox Live Arcade title, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, Galaxies promises to deliver an all new mission-based campaign where players blast-off on action-paced quests across the galaxy, defending solar systems one by one, defeating waves of alien enemies on new and classic Battle Grids.
Both versions will feature revamped controls, optimized specifically for Nintendo systems. The game will also feature co-op, simultaneous, and versus multiplayer modes to keep you and your friends busy. In addition, gamers who own a Wii and Nintendo DS can link ‘em up via WiFi to unlock bonus content.
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved was and still is arguably the best Xbox Live Arcade title, so I’d say we have a guaranteed hit on our hands here with Galaxies. No release date has been announced at this time. Check out the first screens of the Wii version after the jump.

LOVE GW, I will DEFIANTELY be pickin' this up for the DS, just hope it runs well, no excessive lag and whatnot.
