Everyone’s favorite green elf from the Legend of Zelda series will soon be heading to the Nintendo DS in Europe. The Tingle RPG was actually released in Japan last year, and although most of us had given up hope for a Western release, it has unexpectedly popped up on Nintendo Europe’s summer release schedule under the title Freshly Picked - Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland. Fits the elf well, eh?

Currently the game is dated for a September 14 release. No word on a US release yet, but the fact that the game is being localized is all that really matters. DS is region free, so you can import without hassle. On the same day, European Wii owners will also get Super Paper Mario.

Call me crazy, but I’m a fan of this odd elf. By far, he’s one of the most unique characters in the Zelda series.
