Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia? Been rumored for awhile, but now it’s official. Yes, official! The latest issue of Japanese mag Weekly Famitsu issue reveals the first official screenshots from Konami’s third DS installment in the series.

As expected, series mainstay Koji Igarashi is heading up the project as producer. Like its predecessors, the game will feature support for up to two players, however, further details were not divulged. Previous DS entries allowed players to cooperatively battle foes in Boss Rush mode over WiFi, which is likely what we’ll see in terms of “2 player” support in Order of Ecclesia. Fun, but short-lived fun. Co-op play in story mode would be much more appealing, but we aren’t about to get our hopes up for such a feature.

Oh, and couple of the screenshots shown in the scan are the same as the ones that leaked awhile back. So those are legit, if you ever had any doubt.
