A Nintendo DS remake of 1983’s arcade classic Dragon’s Lair has been officially confirmed. In development by Digital Leisure, the DS version will feature a slew of new features, while still maintaining the charm of the original.
Dragon’s Lair will feature two different ways to play, dual screen (book-style, pictured above) or single screen (top-down). Both modes will make use of the touch screen. In addition, the game will also support the DS’s voice recognition feature as well as the oft-unused rumble pak.
Various play modes include an Arcade and Home mode. The latter, will feature additional sequences that were not shown in the original Arcade game. Currently a release date is TBA, but we’ll keep you posted.
