fMSX PSP v3.5.2

Posted by x3sphere at May 31, 2008, 6:34 pm

Homebrew developer Uberjack has released a maintenance update to fMSX, an MSX series emulator for the PSP that supports both MSX and MSX2 cartridge files.

Previous versions of the emulator contained two mislabeled configuration settings. In the updated release, both MSX Music and MSX Audio now correctly refer to FMPAC/YM2413 and Y8950, respectively. As such, the author notes that users should make sure that MSX Music is enabled if FMPAC-based titles were previously freezing.

Nintendo Keeps Mum On Wii Storage Solution

Posted by x3sphere at May 30, 2008, 7:51 pm

WiiWare has been out in the states for a couple weeks now and those who frequently download Wii content are already lamenting about the lack of internal storage space. In a recent interview, Tom Prata, senior director of product development over at Nintendo of America, was asked if the company had a solution in the works to remedy these woes. His response?

Consumers have the option of either deleting the game and downloading it again for no additional Wii Points, or transferring the game from Wii to external SD memory card.

Totally avoided the question there Tom. Not too surprising, considering president Satoru Iwata said the company was reviewing possible solutions in regards to the issue earlier this month.

Oddly enough, Microsoft has removed any mention of the demo on the game’s main site. Is a demo still on the cards for U.S. and Europe? Xbox community head Major Nelson says yes, “a demo for all other Xbox LIVE regions is planned.” No word on when it’ll hit, though.
