Ultimate Ghost ‘n Goblins gets new version in Japan

Posted by x3sphere at May 30, 2007, 5:12 pm

Thought Ultimate Ghost ‘n Goblins on PSP was just a tad too easy? You’re one of the few thinking that, but here’s some good news for you: Famitsu reports that development of a revised version of the game is underway.

This new version of the game that made us curse at our PSPs will now return to its arcade roots, thereby limiting continues. However, you will have the ability to double jump and play any level of your choosing right from the beginning of the game. Still, these perks don’t really make the game any easier. Anyone who has played the game knows that limited continues would just be plain harsh.

Titled Goku Makaimura Kai, expect it to hit Japanese stores on August 2. Those living in the US or Europe who want this new version should plan on importing it, because we highly doubt it will see the light of day in the West.

I think anyone will agree, Phantom Hourglass really shows what the Nintendo DS is capable of in terms of graphics. Let’s hope the gameplay is equally as impressive.
