Wii originally turned off after an hour!

Posted by x3sphere at September 29, 2006, 1:36 am

Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo of Japan, recently revealed some tidbits of information regarding the Wii development process. One of the ideas he came up with was to stop games being regarded with hostility in households by making the console automatically turn off if a parent said their child was only allowed to play games for an hour each day. In the end though, he said it wouldn’t be a good decision for a games company to do that.

Smart move Nintendo!

Mastiff imports Gurumin for PSP

Posted by x3sphere at September 29, 2006, 1:06 am

Mastiff announced today it will bring action RPG Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure to North America early next year. Developed by Nihon Falcom, the creators of the Ys series, Gurumin has already won acclaim in Japan, where it debuted on the PSP this summer.

In Gurumin, players take the role of Parin, a young girl who discovers a village of friendly monsters. Soon, however, she learns that the monsters are threatened by Phantoms, evil spirits which are kidnapping the village inhabitants. Parin must find the Legendary Drill, a weapon which is powerful enough to destroy the Phantoms.

The game features real-time combat, 3D graphics, non-linear game play, and plenty of puzzles, monsters, characters, and dungeons. Look for Gurumin to reach North America in the first quarter of 2007.

Great news, I’ve played the Japan release and must say that it is an excellent RPG
