By way of a blog post, developer Rare confirmed today that the XBLA take on former N64 title Banjo-Tooie will hit this April in upscaled HD glory. Smoother framerates are being promised as well, in comparison to the N64 original, which did run sluggish in certain parts.

Additionally, Tooie XBLA will feature Stop ‘n’ Swop connectivity, a gameplay element that was left out of the N64 release due to hardware limitations. A number of items collected in Banjo-Kazooie will appear in Tooie, allowing players to access secret locations and items.

An N64 game... ported to Xbox 360. These thing happening is usually unlikely, but its cool that this was made. 8)

What would be better if Rare's Gamecube titles could be ported to Xbox 360. :D

surely you mean Rare's GC TITLE... ;)

Rareware I feel lost their way after the N64 days and after David Doak left with a number of the other staff. The older N64 games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie were absolutely awesome.

....Then Perfect Dark Zero happened....
