Report: Layoffs Hit Sega, 30 Jobs Severed

Not even SEGA, the house of Sonic, is immune to the current economic downturn. According to an IGN report, citing a source inside SEGA, the publisher cut a total of 30 jobs in a cost reduction effort today.
The gaming industry as a whole has been hit hard over economic woes the past couple months. Even big names, such as EA and LucasArts, have been affected. There’s no word on if any known or internal projects will be axed as result of the staff reduction. Best of luck to those affected.
