Flower Hits PSN This Week

Sony announced today that Flower, the latest effort from indie developer thatgamecompany, will hit the PlayStation Store this week on February 2.

Company president Kellee Santiago likens the game to a “video game version of a poem; an exploration into the tension between urban bustle and natural serenity.” Essentially, the object is to collect flower petals while following the direction of windy, turbulence heavy paths across breathtaking environments, from a rugged mountainside to a peaceful yet desolate field.

Mere words however fail to do this title justice — like flOw, this is one you’ll have to experience for yourself, as evidenced by the video clip above. Hopefully a playable demo will be offered for those not completely sold on the concept.
