In the latest Wii-k in Review podcast, IGN’s own Matt Casamassina hints at the return of a fighting game franchise that came to GameCube, and now will soon be heading to the Wii. Except this time, it won’t be a fighting game. Matt says, “anyone with a brain will be able to figure it out.”

Looking at the list of GameCube fighters, not many games fit Matt’s criteria. Bloody Roar, Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur are the lucky three in my book. The Bloody Roar franchise seems to have slipped off the radar since it’s GameCube release, and I certainly hope Midway isn’t planning a second Mortal Kombat Mythologies.

That being said, it sure looks like Namco is planning a Soul Calibur Adventures for Wii.
