Miyamoto: I Could Make Halo, and does Zelda need a rethink?

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that although he could make a game like Halo, he simply choses not to. Not surprising, since all the games he has created have either been kid-centric or at least kid-friendly.

However, maybe it’s time to start developing more mature games. According to Miyamoto, people in Japan are losing interest in the Zelda series. Twilight Princess for the Wii and GameCube have sold well below initial expectations. Is it time to re-invent the Zelda series with a more mature storyline? Not saying it has to be a gore fest, in fact that wouldn’t be the way to go with it. Instead, create a deeper, darker storyline, which would involve you playing as the series’ antagonist Ganondorf. Something like that would be cool, rather than the standard Link save the world story.

hahahaha,ah well.

well,i'm thinking a surprise game that would make you go what the hell would be good....

like another cel-shaded one....but halfway through it changes to a gory realistic one and you'd have to go through the dungeons again that you did when you were cel-shaded....and i mean ULTRA-gory....the kind that is reserved for 18's games. :P

haha, that would be fun....but you'd have to kinda introduce the realistic side early to try and keep the gamers interest cause if it got a 18 rating for the gore and realism then a game thats 18 and is cel-shaded would possibly confuse the player....
