New PSP Colors Hitting Asia, Jealousy Ensues

Sony today announced that it is launching two brand-new PSP colors to the Asian market on January 15. These decidedly gorgeous shades have been named “Radiant Red” and “Vibrant Blue.” Each will carry a standard price tag of $1,380 HKD (US $177).

The kicker? Sony has no plans to release these two beauties outside of Asia at the moment. Who knows, though, perhaps a surprise announcement is in store at this year’s CES. Rolling out new colors would certainly go a long way to help spice up the PSP’s image in North America. After all, not counting bundle packages, we’ve been stuck with the same colors for years.

Blu one is really cool. It looks as if it's made of aluminium and like an iPod thanks to the new curved edges.

I would get the red one, but im asking my parents if i can get a new psp but im not sure what colour is best and do the asian psp have english installed?

Yes, they do, firmware is region free. I'd probably get the blue one if I didn't already have three PSPs. Too bad cool colors like this are always released so late xD

The PSP-3000 looks good, but I think PS button is worse than HOME button. :glare:

I also dislike the movement of the SONY logo. :sad:

and the scanlines- :(

Honestly, the PSP-2000 seems alot better than this, regardless of Bright screen or microphone.

man that psp looks good but it looks like there all the same they can at least make a new one thats touch screen or something but the only thing there doing is changing the color, how about if yall add something new to it instead and then every one who plays or wants a psp will be surprised but the only thing thats happening now is changing the color of it that is just saying that psp is going to be worst in the future if the don't do something different besides changing the color
