Reeves Says No To PSP2
by Mike Bendel on December 11, 2008 @ 10:25 am

Speaking to UK-based industry site MCV, SCEE president David Reeves assured that Sony has “no plans” for a PSP2. Earlier reports suggested that the company had signed a deal with Imagination Technologies’ PowerVR tech, but Reeves says nothing of the sort.
No, there are currently no plans for a PSP2. I go to Tokyo quite a lot and no one has referred to it – I think they have their hands full at the moment.
Reeves further noted that Sony is still very focused on the current generation PSP, but did admit that the handheld’s software library in terms of new releases as of late has been lacking — primarily due to a focus on console development. He promises that games will come, but “[they'll] just take a while longer.”
