If you plunked down the extra $20 dollars for the limited edition version of Call of Duty: World at War, you’re in luck, as Activision announced today that a double XP weekend will kick off next week. Starting at noon (PST) on Friday, owners of the limited edition on either Xbox 360 or PC, who have activated their copy, can hop online to earn double XP. Xbox 360 users specifically will have to look for servers under the “Officer’s Club” playlist to take advantage of the offer, while players on the PC side can simply join any server.

The promotion will come to a close on Friday, December 12.

Starting at 12 noon (PST) on Friday, December 5th, Limited Collector’s Edition owners on PC and 360 will be able to earn double experience points when playing Call of Duty: World at War multiplayer! Access to the Double XP “Officer’s Club” playlists will require Xbox 360 Limited Collector’s Edition owners to have successfully activated their copies of Call of Duty: World at War. Owners will see the “Officer’s Club” show up in the player match playlists screen. For PC Limited Collector’s Edition owners, they can simply join any server during the Double XP week and be rewarded with twice the experience.

For those who haven’t activated their Limited Collector’s Edition, please read the FAQ here: http://www.callofduty.com/intel/174

This promotional Double XP week will end on 11:59a.m PST. on Friday, December 12th.
