Tomb Raider Underworld Sales Top Out On PS3 In Europe

by Mike Bendel on November 25, 2008 @ 2:22 pm

According to recent retail data collected by European sales tracking firm Chart Track, the PlayStation 3 edition of Lara’s latest, Tomb Raider Underworld, has shifted the most units, netting 51 percent of sales in its first week of release. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 counterpart managed only 31 percent. Other competing platforms, namely the Wii, Nintendo DS and PC, took the remaining 18 percent.

Keep in mind these statistics only apply to Europe – we still have yet to find out how the title performed here in the states. Nonetheless, it’s interesting to see the PS3 edition emerge victorious here, especially given the fact that the 360 version was promised exclusive downloadable content ahead of release time.
