No doubt Nintendo stock holders are doing the happy dance right about now. Today the company reported final consolidated fiscal year revenues of 966.5 billion yen ($8.1 billion US) and operating profits of 226.0 billion yen ($1.9 billion US) for the year ending March 31, 2007.

The results are largely due to the success of the Nintendo DS. Full-year sales of the handheld surpassed 23 million, along with 123 million DS games sold. The Wii was no pushover either, with 5.84 million units sold and nearly 29 million games for the console sold in less than five months.
