Resident Evil 5 Producer Talks RE2 Remake

Despite its tank-style controls, Resident Evil 2 is often heralded by many fans as the pinnacle of the series. Might we see a remake in the future? Currently all attention is focused on RE5, but according to producer Jun Takeuchi, such an idea is indeed something that Capcom “would like to consider.”
If we had the chance to go back and remake Resident Evil 2…you know, I think there is the demand for it. It’s certainly something we would like to consider and think about, but, quite frankly our hands are full with Resident Evil 5 right now, and trying to get that out of the door, so we’re going to have to put all of our focus on Resident Evil 5 for the moment.
Well then, here’s hoping they start thinking about it!
