A Decade of Final Fantasy XIII in the works

by Mike Bendel on April 23, 2007 @ 8:43 pm

Square-Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto recently shared some thoughts with Japanese gaming magazine Nintendo Dream on the future of the long-running Final Fantasy series. When speaking about the latest entry in the series, Hashimoto revealed that they have some big plans in store for the Fabula Nova Crystallis FFXIII universe, hinting that it will spawn numerous sequels and side-stories for at least 10 years.

Given 10 years, it is likely that the FFXIII universe will make an appearance on all major consoles, handhelds, and (gasp) maybe even the big screen.

What about the PSP/PC??? will there be a game for those???

MenaceInc says:

well, going by my ff7 theory i'd say yea....ff7 was released on the PC (albeit a poor port) and the psp is getting ff7:crisis core ...also the ds is getting ff12:revenant wings so i'd say its VERY likely to be a PC and PSP game of ff13. :D
