PS3 Firmware 2.52 Released
by Mike Bendel on November 4, 2008 @ 8:35 pm

Surprise! A new PlayStation 3 firmware has appeared on Network Update. According to the supplied changelog, the update improves on playback quality with certain PS3 titles and patches up an issue that occurred while using the on-screen keyboard, USB keyboard or Bluetooth keyboard in select titles. Nothing too exciting by our standards, but hey, fixes are always welcome.
Official Firmware 2.52 Changelog
* The playback quality of some PS3 format software has been improved.
* A text entry issue that occurs when using the on-screen keyboard, USB keyboard or Bluetooth keyboard with some PS3 format software has been addressed.
As usual, we have included a direct link to the system software update below for those who wish to install it manually.
