Electronic Arts and developer Criterion Games today announced Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box, a special edition version of the original racing hit that packs all the previously released downloadable content and an all-new Burnout Paradise Party mode on a single disc.

According to EA, Paradise Party is an “offline multiplayer mode designed to allow up to eight friends to ‘pass-the-pad’ in dozens of Burnout challenges.” For those who already own a copy of Paradise, the same mode will be offered over PSN and XBLM as paid DLC.

Also set for inclusion in this special edition pack is a race restart option, improved handling for starting vehicles, and a PS3-specific Burnout Paradise Network designed to enhance the game’s community aspect. There is currently no word on if these tweaks and additions will be made available to owners of the original.

Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box races to retailers in February of next year on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
