Silent Hill Origins New Screens and Info

by Mike Bendel on April 20, 2007 @ 5:07 pm

Silent Hill Origins lives! Announced back in 2006, Origins has suffered numerous delays, so many that some believed the game was vaporware. Obviously, that’s not the case. Game Informer recently had an exclusive hands-on with the game and are happy to report that development is alive and well.

GI’s overall impression of the game sounds to be very positive. Gameplay and controls are typical Silent Hill fare, hold R to wield your weapon along with X to attack. They were particularly impressed with the camera setup, which has been designed specifically for Origins. Classic Silent Hill puzzles were also aplenty, along with superb dynamic lighting and shadow effects.

Look for Origins to hit retail channels near you Fall 2007.

I've been waiting for this since I first got my PSP!

Yes, the first is a classic (I even made it the first Popstation game I played) and the second was excellent as well; I didn't really care much for the third installment (which provided the majority of the music for the movie), but my wife really likes it... we also really like the fourth Silent Hill as well despite it mixed reviews (seems to be a love/hate kind of thing and many people even pretend that it was originally a different game converted to a SH [which I think is BS]).

The movie let me down, compared to the games it was really too empty and meaningless...
