PSone Games to be Playable on PS3 in May

Last night, gamers were overjoyed with the release of Firmware 1.70 for PS3, which added support for downloadable PSone games to be played on the PS3. However, disappointment arose when we found out no PS3 compatible PSone games were actually available for purchase from the PS Store.

Now Sony reps have revealed that while the support is there, the actual games won’t be hitting until sometime in May. Honestly, what a joke. Firmware 1.8 will be out by then. At least Sony clarified that users who have already purchased the PSP-only versions will not have to pay a penny for the very same PS3 versions.
