New Legend of Heroes game to include dual UMDs

Japanese developer Nippon Falcom has revealed that the next chapter in their Legend of Heroes series, known as Eiyuu Densetsu Sora no Kiseki SC in Japan, will be sprawled across two giant 1.8GB UMD discs. Contrary to popular belief, this is not the first time a PSP game has been given the dual UMD treatment.

Winglish, a PSP title released exclusively in Korea, was actually the first game to include dual UMDs. Nevertheless, it is interesting that another developer has required the use of two UMD discs. We’re betting that this will be one huge adventure.

This shouts for a OE Firmware Update with In-Game Disc ISO Exchange... hm...

Non the less - as a fan of that RPG Series I like it...

OMG Namco Bandai localization pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease.

At least they aren't releasing it on PSP like they did on PC. If I've read about it correctly, the PC version was released as two seperate games, First Chapter and Second Chapter. Or I could be wrong and they were, while named that, both included in the same package.

Sora no Kiseki also has a J-Pop opening theme. knowing the Namco side of the company, if this gets localized that's gonna get butchered to at LEAST a 'No Vocals' version.

love/hate relationship with namco there?... :P

haha, its understandable though, they did muck up a lot of stuff in the tales series when it was translated and localised for europe....ah well :)

also, love that screenshot....if its an action rpg like terranigma or lunar knights then count me in....although i wouldnt mind a pure rpg either :D

Tenshigami says:

It's more than likely true to the previous games. Which means a turn based battle system very reminiscent of Lunar and Lunar 2. (NOT related to Lunar Knights)

MenaceInc says:

haha, don't worry,i know of the lunar series...and lunar knights shot off from boktai so theyre not related....

you got to play lunar genesis on ds?...i was gunna get it when i get a bit of money... :)

Tenshigami says:

Genesis? *googles* Oh, Lunar: Dragon Song. Yeah, I got that a few years back. It was fun at first, but any self respecting Lunar fan would find it absolutely blasphemous. By the time I beat it, it left me feeling absolutely empty inside. After putting it back on my self, I looked back at the experience, and realized I had wasted 30 or so hours on complete and utter crap. I haven't touched it since.
