EA in Social Networking Venture

Electronic Arts revealed today that they are teaming up with Dutch media company Endemol to form a digital entertainment concept that bridges between traditional TV and video games. Similar to the Wii’s Mii Plaza, EA’s Virtual Me will allow users to create their own avatars with unique appearances and identities.
Did someone say that 2007 is the year of social networks? PS3 Home, Virtual Me, and Atari’s new online initiative are all set to launch this year.
