3.11 cannot be downgraded yet to 1.5.

I have PSP firmware 3.02 from sony website. How can I get 3.30 of DarkAlex? Can I just downloade his? Or do I need to find a way to downgrade to 1.50 and then download the 3.30OE by DarkAlex?

Anyone have links to the downgraders for 3.02? MUCH help will be appreicated.

I just updated, It didn't solve the prob I'm having with Suikoden 2 but it did solve the small one I was having with Chrono Cross

I tested Suikoden 2, It still freezes at the mist boss :crying:

And I tested Chrono cross, and I dont know if this was a prob for anyone eles but it would freeze when NeoFio joined my party

one small prob with Chrono Cross

When I fight the dwarfs whenever someone uses an element the game crashes and restarts.

I don't know if its 3.30's fault of not but ill just put 3.10 on my new psp and see if the same thing happens :mellow:

no, you need to be either running 1.5 or any of the previous OE editions.

all you can do is wait for a downgrader or get that new mod-chip which is supposed to be released tomorrow.

I've had my psp like two months, i upgraded fireware right after I got the wifi working. I wasn't thinking cuz I spent 3hrs attempting wifi access when I just had to add the MAC to my the access list... I'm stuck in 3.11 I've setup my dev environment for some home brew, (totaly making a pong game where you turn you psp side ways and two ppl can play pong one using up/down keys the other the triangle and X keys) it will probably take me a week to make it look pretty (got ideas for using xscreensaver pong video filter just for kix to get that old monitor feel) sony please please please please leme use my psp.

26k for a real UMD psp dev box.... I just want to port pong....

yeh recovery is still here.

Custom topmenus so far don't work with 3.10 OE-A', so I'm guessing that they won't work with 3.30 OE-A either. However, while I'm waiting for somebody I know to compile a "Winstaller" allowing me to upgrade to OE FW without the benifits of a genuine memory stick bigger than 32MB, you might want to consider trying modding other things such as the background, the wave, batter and loading icons, those are things I've modded in 3.10 OE-A', and it looks surprisingly like a PS3.

I haven't got this on my PSP yet, but before i do i have a question. To play PS1 games, does the file have to be in any format other than ISO or do i have to do some kind of converting before hand? Would it work to just rip my games and put the iso on the memory card?

I have upgraded my PSP to 3.30 OE with no problems. But I am wondering about a little thing. 3.30 is supposed to have some features that are not present in the OE version, such as connecting to a wireless hot spot, or dropping videos with the THM recognized in the VIDEO folder. at the moment none of those feature are working. Am I missing something here? lol Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about the THM files, but in order to get the T-mobile wireless feature to show up you need to make sure your region is set to America in recovery mode then restore default settings.

TMobile Wireless feature is that Sony has made it easier to connect to hot spots through the network settings.

You can the tmobile hotspot free for six months, then they charge you for further use......you have to register your psp with them.

I knew I'd see one of these soon enough, at this time there is no way to do that, you will need to wait for a downgrader for 3.30 before you can upgrade to 3.30oe

Try turning off the no UMD mode in recovery

That got a few games working for me so far in 3.30 like GGX Slash

that kept craping out on me when even i started playing arcade mode (didn't in 3.10)

but now it works fine :biggrin:

Also were in Innocent Life is it crashing? it hasn't crashed on me yet:confused1:

Once you have a DA custom FM you need to turn the Iso files that you take off from the your game cd (as its illigal to take isos off the net) into Eboot files

You need a program for that :biggrin:

I use PSX2PSP to construct mine, I also use PopstationGUI when i wanna take apart and Eboot and add diff image files and such =P

I haven't had a single successful eboot construction from PopstationGUI yet though >.> so i just tear them apart in that and construct them in PSKPSP ^^

once you have a DA's custom FW on yoru psp put the eboot in a folder and in the PSP GAME directory, and enjoy :biggrin:

I am having issues with the update. I have copied the oem folder to PSP/GAME/ , in addition to putting the 1.50 and 3.30 files in the oem folder. But the problem I have is when i go to boot up the Update maker it gives me this error "game could not be started (8002014c)" what am I doing wrong? Any suggestions ..thanks ahead

so im guessing now that all the open edition firmwares are mostly for the non new motherboard psps. Or are some of these workable on the new ones? when i first bought one i was told i can't downgrade cause it had the newer motherboard so i updated and now they have downgraders for the new ones. Do i have a bigger chance to get mine bricked?

well the downgrader instructions here cover all current motherboards. so as long as you have 3.03 or below, your good to downgrade to 1.5 and install OE. There is no higher chance of bricking either.

Looks like theres no improvement in no umd mode.. its the same as 3.10 OE-A:bored: hopefully theres one within next release..

why doesnt the location free player work?

flash space is sparse, so it was removed to fit the 1.5 kernel.

you can still use DevHook and emulate the 3.11 firmware then run the Location Free player from there.

As of now, 3.30 OE-A'. If you want topmenu customizations and backwards compatibility with POPS.

DO NOT upgrade to official Sony firmware! Anything above 3.03 currently CANNOT be downgraded for homebrew!

Yes and no. Depends on what you wanna do with it.

topmenu customizations however are possible in 3.40 as well. So that part of my post is now moot.
