Crytek Seeking PS3 Programmer
by Mike Bendel on September 17, 2008 @ 1:58 pm

Although it doesn’t surprise us in the slightest considering Crytek’s intent to shift over to multi-platform, a job listing has appeared on the company’s site, calling for programmers with an expertise in PlayStation 3 game development.
Interestingly, the job description mentions that the chosen applicant will “work on various aspects of porting to engine code to PS3 and creating solutions to get the utmost out of the PS3.” Sounds like they’ll be porting CryENGINE 2 over. Whether that means we’ll ever see Crysis on consoles, who knows. The fact is that a Crytek developed title is, without a doubt, going to appear on consoles in the future.
