Sony today announced that its long-awaited PS3 racer WipEout HD will be available to purchase from the PlayStation Network next week on September 25.

The price of admission is only $19.99, which admittedly is an incredible deal for a game of this magnitude. As a brief overview, there’s eight reversible tracks in all, trophy support, online play over PSN with up to 8 racers, and five game modes. To make this offering even more sweet, the game runs at a silky smooth 60FPS and features visuals presented in full 1080p.
