Electronic Arts Walks Away From Take-Two Bid

It’s over – finally. After careful consideration, Electronic Arts has decided to put a stop on the bid it initially made in February to takeover rival Take-Two, publisher of Rockstar’s famed Grand Theft Auto series. Last month, the two companies slid away from the public spotlight and signed a confidentiality agreement regarding the details of any further negotiations.
In a statement released today, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company remains “actively engaged” in discussions with other interested parties and is open to strategic alternatives.
