Sony confirms PSP price cut for US

Now’s the perfect time to buy a PSP. Sony has confirmed that the core pack will now retail at $169.99, while the high-end Entertainment Pack has dropped $50, bringing the package down to just $199.

Honestly 189 (after tax) is a hell of a deal for a psp. This is assuming you go home and mod it . Keep going sony you got the right idea.
