Uncharted PS3 Bundle Drops This Fall, Includes 160GB HDD

With the PlayStation 3 40GB model slowly being phased out, it’s time to make room for a brand-new addition to the PS3 hardware lineup – an Uncharted Drake’s Fortune PS3 bundle. In North America specifically, it’s slated to hit in November at an MSRP of $499.99 and includes the aforementioned game, a voucher for PSN title PAIN, a DualShock 3 wireless controller, and a 160GB hard drive.

Over in Europe, the bundle is due out October 31. Configuration-wise there will be no difference, aside from the fact that it’ll include an “additional PSN title,” according to SCEE, which may or may not be PAIN.

Sony was quick to mention that this bundle will retain “all the same functionality” as the new 80GB that’s popping up on retail shelves here in the U.S. That means no backwards compatibility, but you should be used to that now.

Goodbye Sony, Hello Microsoft Xbox 360. (Ironic for me as i already own both... Also the fact that i have no need to rant due to me already having the 60GB PS3 lol)

Having no Backwards compatibility will hurt PS3 sales significantly, due to the fact that the PS2 is still selling strong. Plus everyone who doesn't give in to the "Hi-Def" hype will keep with their PS2 gaming especially since new games are still being developed on the PS2 not only that most PS3 games are on the PS2 as well (and most those games run better on the PS2 then it's well hyped Predecessor).
