Expected, but it’s now confirmed. Developer Insomniac Games does have plans to continue its popular Ratchet & Clank franchise in 2009. Upon completion of Quest for Booty, players are greeted with a fan-pleasing message, teasing that “The quest continues in fall 2009.”

Although we can’t say for certain, this most likely means that the new Ratchet title will be a follow-up to Quest for Booty. Whether or not it’ll be a full retail release a la Tools of Destruction is still up in the air at this point. In all likelihood, we won’t hear more until Resistance 2 is finished and out the door.
