PS3 visual designer talks boomerang controller

In an interview with OPM, PS3 visual designer Teiyu Goto revealed that the original PS3 ‘boomerang’ controller prototype was dropped because Sony felt the change was a great risk, since even the slightest change to the controller could annoy gamers.
As a result, Sony ditched the boomerang and reverted back to the original Dual Shock 2 model, which eventually was fused into the wireless and motion-sensing controller we use today, known as SIXAXIS.
