Vigilante 8 Arcade Enters Final Certification Phase

Despite being sent off to the dark depths of Microsoft’s XBLA certification lab last May, vehicular combat title Vigilante 8 Arcade still has yet to arrive on Xbox 360. What’s the holdup? We’re not completely sure, but developer Isopod Labs announced today that the game has entered the “final stages” of certification. In short, this means a digital release shouldn’t be too far off, provided that no technical bugs are found by Microsoft’s testing crew.

As revealed in the initial announcement, Vigilante 8: Arcade is a full-on remake of Luxoflux’s 1999 PlayStation hit, featuring online multiplayer battles of up to eight players over Live along with a host of new and updated content, including eight unlockable car models from the PSOne original.
