Lich King Beta Keys Fetch A Pretty Penny On eBay

World of Warcraft fans obviously not worried about breaking the bank are going to great lengths, monetary-wise, for guaranteed access into the ongoing Wrath of Lich King beta.

A quick glance over on eBay shows a number of beta keys being auctions off, all of which were obtained from BlizzCon 2007 and the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational event held in Paris last June.

Prices are currently ranging from $100 to an upwards of $200, though Eurogamer reports that on the UK eBay site, one key fetched a whopping 652 Euros, which is equivalent to $1,021 USD. Cuh-razy! Just think, that money could have been used for a subscription to the full game for more than a few years.
