Pandora Based Solution For TA-088 PSP Units Being Worked On

by Mike Bendel on July 24, 2008 @ 6:35 pm

New units of the latest PSP motherboard revision — TA-088 — are not compatible with Pandora, or other applications such as Dark_AleX’s Despertar del Cementerio Universal Unbricker and Time Machine. But fret not, as a solution is in the works.

Dark-AleX.org web administrator Alek reports that new version of Despertar del Cementerio is in development. The core is being rewritten and will utilize a different kernel rather than the firmware 1.5 and 3.40 subset previous releases have used. Unforeseen issues aside, this should extend compatibility to TA-088 units.

I'd put this down to 'rumor' - wasn't it Alek who said (on the same blog, article conspicuously missing now) 4.0x m33 definitely wasn't going to get a 1.50 add-on?

It was said that it wasn't going to get a 1.50 add-on, it did anyways.

Damn it so the problem is with the new CPU that's supplied with the TA-088

silver_surfer says:

there's already a work around for this but will have to wait for DA's official release..

Fako says:

does this means slim psps will be able to do pandoras so i can unbrick my fatty? its awesome

x3sphere says:

Early Slim PSPs can convert a battery to Pandora. It's the later models (TA-085 v2 and onward) that can't. This new DC version won't fix that.

I don't know guys, my ta088 mobo work just fine with the Pandora (GOW Limited Edition), Ofw 3.90-->4.00-->3.71m33-2-->4.01m33-2. I didn't try the making pandora battery function yet.....base on the topic, it doesn't make sense http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3203/2717998417_cd1901dc62.jpg?v=0http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3217/2718864510_eff90d9ceb.jpg?v=0

x3sphere says:

Yes some units with the TA-088 mobo work fine, but new ones in production right now do not.
